Evan Harris teaches Lesson #4, Jackson Heights of "New York Stories". This video is intended for second through fifth graders. Students will discover and celebrate many of the cultures that make New York one of the most diverse cities in the world and will build musical skills and knowledge along the way. This interactive program features special guests and focuses on music that is woven into the fabric of life in New York, including Native American songs, Haitian Kompa, jazz, musical theater, and hip-hop.
