I am starting a new series, This is episode one and it's about red and mud salamanders from the genus pseudotriton! I will continue making salamanders of east tennessee and showing different species and behavior, but I am also going to show you the different stages of each species life cycle! I apologize if I cant find the eggs of every species, there are not even pictures online of midland mud salamander eggs, they look just like red salamander eggs but are in underground cavities attached to debris and other things in muddy springs. Red salamander eggs are often the same, but you can get lucky and find them attached to a rock as I did. Few people have found eggs from either species. I will make life cycle videos for each genus of native salamander eventually. I hope you enjoy this one. it took me awhile
