In this video we'll describe the chemical reaction between Na2CO3 and HCl . The complete reaction is: Na2CO3 (s) + HCl (aq) = NaCl (aq) + H2O (l) + CO2 (g) The word equation for the reaction is: Solid Sodium carbonate + aqueous Hydrochloric acid yields aqueous Sodium chloride and liquid water and gaseous Carbon dioxide. When the Na2CO3 and HCl react we can immediately see the bubble form. The bubbles are full of the CO3 gas evolved during the reaction. More chemistry help at http://www.Breslyn.org. Special thanks to Cademon Trozzo for editing and filming assistance.
