Guantanamera is the sixth lesson from the Strumming Through The Americas ukulele course. Students will begin to visit countries in the Americas to connect historic and stylistic contexts to the songs they have learned on the ukulele. In this lesson, students will visit Cuba and learn their third song in the course, “Guantanamera.” They will learn a third chord, play a new strumming technique/pattern, and incorporate singing into a performance of the song.
