Flitting among the flowers can be messy, sticky work. Honeybees consume pollen for nutrition, so their entire bodies are covered in tiny hairs to capture as much pollen as possible. Even their eyes have a coat of hair. So how do they keep themselves clean enough to see? The spacing of the eye hairs is just tight enough to keep pollen at the tip of the hair.
