Splitting water into hydrogen gas an oxygen gas by electrolysis. The electrolysis apparatus is from Arbor Scientific- arborsci.com. Sodium hydroxide has been added to the water as an electrocatalyst. In the video I use a 12 V power supply but this can be varied. In class I often use 9 V batteries.
