This is the 1st part of a 4 part basic tutorial on shading and using shadows in your Zentangle and other sketches. It's really just the basics to get you started and allow you to add some definition and interest to your art. Use a soft pencil, like a B or 2b to do shading, they make a darker mark and also make it easier to blend the shading. Let me know if you have any questions!
