http://tapintoteenminds.com/2014/06/28/pythagorean-theorem-part1/ In this video, learn how to find the length of the hypotenuse of a right-angle triangle using the Pythagorean Theorem visually. The video demonstrates how we can prove that squaring the two smaller sides (legs) of a right-angle triangle add to the square of the third side (hypotenuse) by using unit algebra tiles. This example shows a 3-4-5 right-angle triangle and can be beneficial when introducing Pythagorean Theorem. In my class, I use this video while students are trying to solve the Taco Cart 3 Act Math Task by Dan Meyer.
