A Walk to School by Project Mañana

In October 2012, Project Mañana expanded its services into San Pablo, Villa González (Dominican Republic) -- a severely impoverished community where food is scarce and there is no clean drinking water. In addition, there is a severe lack of education; as there are no schools in the community. The closest school is a dangerous 30-minute walk on a busy freeway, so many parents have chosen not to send their children to school. In January 2014, Project Mañana began converting a run-down duplex building into the very first school in San Pablo, Villa González. The school is scheduled to open its doors to 50 students (pre-school - 3rd grade) in August for the 2014/2015 school year! Learn More at: http://www.projectmanana.org Music by Chris Zabriskie
